Hien's Fundraising Page
Story
For those who know me, as Hien, as the one with positive energy and cheerfulness... I want to openly share that I lost my father when I was eight and my beloved brother when I was twenty years of age. There are no words to describe how devastating it was to watch my family mourn loss in my youth... all I knew was that I wanted to protect every person from crying like that again. Then when I tragically lost my beloved brother, whom I felt that I raised like my own son, I did not think I could manage to live after. It's been nineteen years and my love still grows stronger each day for my brother... I believe that we have a God that will reunite all our beloved one day and I can not wait until then! What a wondrous party it shall be!
In my desire (and regret) of wishing there was a safe place for my own family to learn how to mourn well, stay healthy in healing, and properly process such profound emotions in my younger years... I am so thankful to recommend "Josie's Place." On behalf of this loving team, I want to thank you for your financial support that helps good people take good care of sweet children in our local community, together. I believe it surely takes a village to raise a child, because as adults we all understand how difficult it is to move forward with dignity on our own, especially in the crucial moments of loss. Would you kindly support my passion to care for the broken-hearted children in our world, today?
This SF half marathon race is dedicated to all my handsome men in my life that have left this world too soon: Hoa (dad), Trung (brother), Tuan (cousin), and Quoc (cousin).
"Our beloved son, brother and friend..your smile, laughter and love will always be remembered."
